March 18th God opened up the topic of trusting in marriage. There was a strong emphasis on needing to be in unity and agreement. We had a long conversation about healing from past hurts and being able to move forward in unity. This wasn’t surface-level. It felt like God was showing us that if we are going to move forward into anything He has for us, we have to be aligned, not divided not just moving in the same direction externally, but actually in agreement internally. What stood out is that this wasn’t just about communication or resolving conflict, it felt like something that directly impacts whether we can move forward at all. Like unity isn’t just helpful it’s required. There are things from the past that still have influence, even if they aren’t obvious all the time, and if those things aren’t actually healed, they create space for division in subtle ways. It felt like God was highlighting that what He is building between us has to be strengthened and unified first, which connects to Ecclesiastes 4:12 “a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” This wasn’t just about us being in agreement with each other but being fully aligned with Him together. The sense I had was that God wasn’t just speaking about marriage in general, but speaking directly to us in this season, showing us that before any new step, before any new direction, before anything external changes, something deeper has to be established within us. If we try to move forward without true unity, we may still move, but not in the right way. But if we allow God to bring real healing and alignment, then we will be able to move forward in strength, stability, and covering.
